Justin Time - Shiro

Shiro Cosmetics valentine 2015 lippie Justin Time initial thoughts & swatches.

Justin Time was a complimentary product and although at first I thought it might be the slightly wrong red shade for me (is that even possible though, really :P ) I was pleasantly surprised after I wore it this morning.
It's a few tones darker than the above picture (which has a filter applied). Justin Time is described as "The perfect warm ultra-opaque T-Swift polished red". Honestly I'm not sure how to accurately explain reds, but I do think the below swatches are colour accurate at least to what I saw on my lips compared to on my screen. It's definitely a vibrant, crushed cherry red. I had no application issues or streakiness, and Justin Time had the classic weighty feel as all Shiro glosses do.

I found Justin Time to be a gorgeous red that was flattering to my pale skin, I know I'll be wearing this one many times in future.
After removal I had no staining issues except for a few tiny pieces of rough skin that were on my lower lip (from lack of exfoliating, plus lip biting recently). I suppose that isn't a huge issue in itself since it's removed when exfoliated anyway. It does lead me to think this may stain after a few hours wear-time however. Will have to test that one out, as I can't confirm anything in this 'first thoughts' post.

Check out my first thoughts on Nic Cage Doing the Charleston in a Bustling Speakeasy (top right).

Although the darker Shiro shades seem to be a bit more fiddly I was glad that Justin Time went on relatively easily. With all lip products I expect to need time to make everything smooth, even and neat - so for me a little bit of work to get a gloss even isn't an issue, I have to do this with high end brands as well. I know many people may disagree on that, which is totally cool - each to their own :)

Justin Time had good opacity, a gorgeous vibrant colour and no issue with application. I'm planning in a few weeks to do some swatch comparison posts - although I'm new to lippies I'm interested in seeing what similarities I have in my stash already.

Thanks for reading!
