The first thing I noticed about this shade was the pigmentation. Frankly, I don't wear lip product often, and when I do - if it's a gloss I opt for something sheer so that if any rubs off it's not super noticeable.
The Blood of My Enemies is deliciously thick (but not too thick) and has just the right amount of pigmentation. Described as a 'deep, rust gloss' i would most certainly agree. You can go sheer with a light swipe or achieve opacity in a maximum of two swipes. Shiro are renown for their lip products, and this one does not fail to live up to their high standards.
This is The Blood of My Enemies swatched alone (no primer or base) in roughly 2 thin-medium opacity swipes. Not edged in any product. I love the doe foot applicators for lip products bit it does make getting that sharp line tough. I need to explore using a brush instead, and getting a crisp edge using concealer. But, I am new to wearing lip products so I suppose it's all about exploring new things and seeing what works :)
Staining? Not that I noticed.
Wear time? Moderate. It will slip off over time as gloss tends to do.
Would I recommend? Absolutely.
